Printing, the way it used to be.
We do print the old-fashioned way, by hand, and using original Heidelberg presses and traditional foil blocking methods that date back over 100 years.
Traditional foil blocking done by hand.
Tucked under the railway arches in Glasgow, this is where foil, paper and pressure meet. Here, Ian works with traditional machines, including Heidelberg platens, to create beautifully finished print, all by hand.
With decades of experience in the craft, every job is approached with care, precision, and a deep respect for the process. Whether it’s a short run of business cards or a large batch of luxury invitations, nothing leaves the workshop unless it’s right.
This isn’t a spotless studio with shiny tech. It’s a working print shop full of character, clatter and the comforting smell of paper and oil. The presses are heavy, the tools are old, and everything is set, fed, and finished by hand.
There are no shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just proper printing using foil blocking, embossing, colour edging, die cutting and more, carried out on machines that were built to last, by someone who knows exactly how to use them.
If you’re looking for print with substance and soul, you're in the right place.
“Ian’s knowledge is second to none. I sent over a rough idea and he turned it into something I now proudly show off to every client.”
“The foil work is absolutely flawless. Rich, sharp, and perfectly aligned. It gave our business stationery a completely different level of finish.”
“Finding someone who still works this way, and with this level of care, is rare. Ian’s one of the good ones. His work is second to none.”

Craft matters. So does who you’re working with.
Ian’s been doing this a long time, but every job’s still a new one. If you’ve got an idea, a file, or even just a question, give him a shout. Get in touch and get started.
